The New York Times App Reviews

The app is very easy to use, I love being able to bookmark articles and recipes. Its easy to navigate, but most importantly, its content is why I like it most, its great when technology can enhance it by making it easy to access great reporting.

Where is the story about Bill Clinton using an extremely racist term by calling Trump supporters "rednecks"? Where is the story about the latest Pondesta emails where top democrats mock Catholics and Evangelists? Where are these stories? Your biased, one-sided and lifting up a person who is threatening the religious freedom of all Americans. You may get away with it in this world but you will have to answer to a higher authority in the end. Good luck with that one!

All ny times news is completely biased. I guess thats what happens when you owe the Clintons money. I compared their reports to others and its completely different. Dont download.

Why is there no "Night Mode" which environmentalists and night owls prefer because it saves energy?

The New York Times is my constant and bright star of news. Informative and international, I rely on it for staying current.

Im a heavy user of the app, and I love it. But the newest version keeps forgetting my login information, which is a real nuisance.

Despite not living in NY, NY, the NYTs provides the kind of updated information Id be unaware of. I particularly enjoy how politics of any story plays out from morning to afternoon to evening - the political/social rebuttals are especially entertaining. I particularly enjoy the Sunday Times in hand: the Business and the Magazine sections.

While otherwise great, I cant help but be terribly frustrated by the over abundance of intrusive ads and videos. I elected to pay a monthly fee for NYT access because I thought it was the one news source that was worth it. I thought I would also avoid ads. No. And to make matters worse the ads have become increasingly loud, tacky, obtrusive. Today a video kept playing when I selected a certain article...no ad even in sight. What the heck guys?

Overall, this is a very very nice app. The navigation is clear and the editors dont overwhelm the written content with audio and video elements. I took off a star because I think it should have other font and content options. I believe that I understand why classic fonts Times New Roman or Georgia (Im no font expert) were chosen -- tradition -- but I think Apples system font, San Francisco, is easier to read on a screen. Also, the NYT Now app has great articles from non-NYT sources, and Id like those links to be added to this app as well so I can just have 1 app for everything.

I have been using the NYTimes app for several years. My only beef is that while I pay a subscription, I still see ads on the app. I do not like advertising weasels. The app is solid. I dont have to go to the front page (as I did for years using good ol paper) to decide what to read, although that is still an option if I feel the urge (digital subscription, IOS only).

Love the app! Read many sections plus enjoy the weekly health quiz and mini crossword.

All around excellent. Beautiful design and very simple UI.

50 years ago my parents NYT landed on our doorstep each morning. Now I just click for the news on my phone. Weve all changed with the times - but the Times approach to and execution of providing content is unparalleled. Enjoy. I have.

Best news coverage available. There is no comparison to the NY Times on paper or on the internet. Great app- couldnt ask for anything more.

Why do we get dumped back to the articles just to loose our spot in the current article?
